Загубата на масивното тегло се отразява на кожата, която има нужда от повече време, за да се адаптира. А Луис Триго губи по близо 700 грама седмично от теглото си, за да постигне внушителния резултат, който толкова го вдъхновява, че сега работи като фитнес инструктор и нутриционист.

За Луис няма съмнение, че нездравословният начин на хранене и липсата на упражнения са виновни за всичко. "Родителите ми следваха типично американски модел за хранене с много въглехидрати в менюто, както и излизане за хапване по всяко време", споделя Триго. 

Вредни навици, с които решава да скъса веднъж завинаги, след като с годините здравето му е сериозно застрашено - яденето на чипсове, понички и друг фаст фууд води до висока кръвна захар, високо кръвно налягане и сериозно затлъстяване, които повишават риска от диабет, инфаркт и инсулт.

"Всеки път, когато някой ми се обадеше, за да излезем да пийнем по нещо или да хапнем, го отрязвах. Имах нужда да се изчистя от вредните влияния в живота си", допълва Луис.

Happy Saturday and late #flexfriday from the former 400lb man at 65% bodyfat on the left and 155lb guy at 9.5% bodyfat on the right. Just dropping in with an older picture to give some insight to ponder upon for the weekend. People see the before and after, later learning the fact that it took 3.5 years. Yet, the hard part wasn't the weight loss. No, my friends, the true test was becoming the victor instead of the victim. To unlearn all those years of being ridiculed and told I was going to be a nobody, a fatass, etc. That first took me being honest with myself. So, I removed social media, isolated myself and looked in the mirror. I was weak. I was a glutton. I was wasting my life and consuming more than I needed, food that could benefit another more hungry. I was soft physically and mentally. So, from the point forward, not only were my hands going to be callused... but my mind. I learned that in order for muscle to grow, I needed to break them down... so the mind will follow suit. I would break down the victim, become stronger. Now, if you're capable (and you all are), you can do this, too. It's the most important thing you can do for the rest of your life. And the best thing is it works in all facets, not only weight loss and bodybuilding. Are you willing to truly change? To sacrifice your comfort zone to suffer towards greatness? Do it. #tbt 400 at 65% bodyfat on the left, 155 at 9.5% bodyfat on the right. A little over a year ago I finally hit my ultimate goal of losing 245lbs, but I wasn't satisfied. It was time to get swole, go into different venues to see what my body was capable of. So, since then I've packed on the mass, though not as effectively because I did things on my own and had to learn. It was worth the trial and error, allowed me to learn my body, its rest periods, weak points, etc. What's next? Yoga, jiu-jitsu, rock climbing... the world becomes a huge playground! My advice: never be satisfied with just okay, initial goals or a comfort zone. Strive to grow, every single day! You'll be surprised in what you could accomplish in a span of just months! #throwbackthursday 245lbs ago, I was lethargic, tired constantly at 24 years old and always thinking about the next meal. I was existing, not living... consuming, not producing... taking, not giving. Now, at 10.5% bodyfat, I'm full of life(#flexfriday with this television) and paying it forward by being a health coach/personal trainer. The energy I sustain on a daily basis is absolutely insane... leading a warehouse crew after training for 2 to 3 hours a day. People complain about loose skin, but they don't lose the weight slow enough, get lean enough or add muscle. This is a year progress of being lean and adding muscle, 245 pounds ago which also took 3.5 years... Men need to shoot for below 12% bodyfat and hold for at least a year, while adding muscle. Women should aim for below 17% and do the same. You'll have loose skin after losing more than 100 pounds, but it can really be limited if done right. Well, well... my old Brandsmart USA uniform when I weighed 350lbs... I could actually fit in one pants leg. My God, I was a massive man. What a humbling reflection of how unhealthy I was.
