Mother and child, © Oscar Carvajal Barrionuevo, Costa Rica, 2nd Place, National Awards, 2017 Sony World Photography Awards Year 2016 represented a major change in my life, my wife got pregnant and our child was born. This particular photo represents my wife Alessandra as a new mother, we were doing a boudoir style photoshoot in our house in Sardinia, (she always supported me and encouraged me with my hobby as a photographer) when Santiago, my son, got hungry. I just got her a regular chair so she can feed him, and I realized that I couldn't let this moment to get away unnoticed and decided to shoot this delicate ode to intimacy, bonding and maternal love.
